VeriTainer Corporation is an emerging services company whose mission is to have its patented VeriSpreader® System become the industry standard for delivering urgently needed nuclear radiation detection services to the global container shipping industry. It offers one of only two available systems in the world that have isotope identification of specific radiation sources in a primary inspection regime.
The Company's prototype VeriSpreader® System was actually operated at the Howard Terminal in the Port of Oakland from April 2, 2007 through May 31, 2008. It performed in excess of 47,000 container lifts without any breakdowns. This is the only CMS in the world to be tested in actual containership operations. As a result, the U.S. Government has spent considerable resources analyzing and testing the VeriSpreader® System.
It has been tested by U.S. Customs and Border Protection ("CBP") in the Port of Tacoma (July 2008) and by the U.S. Department of Energy ("DOE") at Los Alamos National Laboratory ("LANL") (Q3 2008). The VeriSpreader® System's performance in these tests is summarized in the VeriSpreader® Capability Analysis which can be found in the Technology Section of this website.
